Wild Bob's Spiced Milk
This winter warmer is super easy and great when you're feeling a bit under the weather. Forget your chemically enhanced shop bought sore throat and cough remedies. This bad boys got all you need to sooth that throat and packed with turmeric and ginger it'll pack a punch that should have you back on your feet and fighting fit in no time...if not, it tastes great. So just sit in front of the fire and drink another cup anyway! ;)
So, how do I get hold of a cup of this loveliness I hear you ask. Well, you probably have all you need to make your own right now....
Simply pour a pint of milk, any milk, cows, almond, oat, whatever. Maybe even a tin of coconut milk or 2, mmm yeah, that'd work.
*Note to self, must try with coconut milk, full fat of course..*
Anyway, you've got your milk in a pan. Add a teaspoon of turmeric, a teaspoon of ginger and a desert spoon of honey. Gently heat and stir continuously until it starts to simmer gently.. that's it you're done! Pour it into a mug and go and enjoy next to a lovely warm fire. Yes!
*Another note to self take another picture of this in front of a fire, it could look cool, this picture doesn't!*
Anyway, that's the basis of this recipe but don't stop there. You can add whatever spices you like. Think cinnamon, nutmeg, clove... Just be careful to add a little bit at a time and taste.. The spices can soon become overpowering!
Go forth, spice up your milk, enjoy! :)
